While summer may be over, the World Series is underway, and school is beginning, you might still consider Miami or LA for a vacation. A study that did not include fatties shows that when it comes to being dirty, New York girls are cleaning up. Big Apple babes have among the naughtiest tastes of women in the country, according to a new survey. Six out of 10 admitted to having hot hookups with a guy on the first date. Overall, Gotham gals come in third as the naughtiest ladies in the 10 cities polled. That's behind the luscious ladies of Los Angeles and the magnificent mamas of Miami. Four out of 10 say they have gone to a bar without wearing any underwear. And while nine out of 10 consider themselves to be "nice," eight of 10 of those girls admit they have a "naughty side." The survey was conducted the Impulse Research Corporation for AXE Vice, makers of a popular body wash whose slogan is "turning naughty girls nice." To that end, 95 percent of the women polled nationally said they would rather endure the pain of a Brazilian bikini wax to hooking up with a guy who smells. While New York fell behind Los Angeles and Miami, it ranked ahead of Atlanta, Phoenix, Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, Chicago and Detroit.

A woman faces charges that she tried to sell her newborn to an undercover police officer for $25,000. Yue Fan Chau, 36, of Flushing, Queens, was arrested Friday after she met the undercover detective in front of New York Downtown Hospital. Prosecutors said that's where the officer gave Chau a $20,000 check and $5,000 in cash. Chau told detectives that her boyfriend had returned to China, and she sold the baby because she was destitute and needed money. Chau was charged with tampering with public records, falsifying business records, child abandonment and endangering the welfare of a child. If convicted, she faces up to seven years in prison.

A Dutch escort agency is launching a special virgin service for computer geeks. Sociology student set up Society Service last year, says she has had a lot of demand from virgins. She says most of them work in the IT sector and added: "They are very sweet but are afraid of seeking contact with other people. They mean it very well but are very scared. When the date is over, you will have had a fantastic experience, and you will be able to pleasure a woman." Specially trained five girls to look after the needs of virgins. "You better practice before having a girlfriend. Woman expect men older than 30 having had some experience. Some men need a little bit of help. But it makes them happy and they are glowing. There is nothing more terrible than dying as a virgin."

A sex crazed Scottish koala bear is in-demand after an experiment in which he was asked to show an Austrian bear the facts of life. The Managers at Vienna's Schoenbrunn zoo were upset that their own male koala would ever get to grips with the birds and the bees. But five-year-old Chumbee, on loan from Edinburgh zoo, has succeeded where romantic music, erotic koala movies and aphrodisiac foods had all failed. Zoo manager Helmut Pechlaner said: "Chumbee hasn't stopped since he got here, it has been almost non stop sex in the koala enclosure ever since, and now even our own male is joining in. And zoo veterinarian Hanna Vielgrader added: "The only break is to eat or sleep, other than that there's no stopping them. The heat has probably helped but we doubt it would make much difference whatever temperature it was for the Scottish koala. Chumbee can't restrain himself at all."

We did not need a study to tell you that our eyes irresistibly lock on to good-looking people, and not on average to hidious people. Participants, all heterosexual men and women, fixated on highly attractive people within the first half-second of seeing them. Single folks ogled the opposite sex and those in committed relationships more often eyed beautiful people of the same sex. "If we're interested in finding a mate, our attention gets quickly and automatically stuck on attractive members of the opposite sex," explained study leader Jon Maner. "If we're jealous and worried about our partner cheating on us, attention gets quickly and automatically stuck on attractive people of our own sex because they are our competitors." Maner's research is based on the idea that evolution has primed our brains to subconsciously latch on to signs of physical attractiveness in others, both to find a mate and to guard him or her from potential competitors. But this evolutionary trick is not without potential romantic peril. Even some people in committed relationships had trouble tearing their eyes away from attractive members of the opposite sex. On the other hand, fixating on attractive people of the same sex as rivals could contribute to feelings of insecurity. Maner's experiments, which flashed pictures of attractive men and women and average-looking men and women in front of participants and measured the time it took to shift their attention away from the image, surprisingly showed little difference between the sexes. "Women paid just as much attention to men as men did to women," Maner said.

Meanwhile, someone tried to sell Brussels on EBay. The odd ad was posted by one disgruntled Belgian in protest at his country's political crisis which reached a 100-day landmark Tuesday with no end in sight to the squabbling between Flemish and Walloon politicians. "I wanted to attract attention," said Gerrit Six, the teacher and former journalist who posted the ad. "You almost have to throw rock through a window to get attention for Belgium." Six placed the advertisement on Saturday, offering free delivery, but pointing out that the country was coming secondhand and that potential buyers would have to take on over $300 billion (euro 220 billion) in national debt.

And a weiner dog humps a lion.

An Indian company  has launched a paan-flavoured condom designed to evoke the pungent taste of the betel nut and tobacco flavors that are chewed and then spat out by millions of South Asians. Hindustan Latex is targeting the new condom range at prostitutes. They ran taste tests with sex workers, including chocolate, banana and strawberry flavors, but the paan flavored was the most popular. "The community loved it as most of the sex workers chew paan," Paan is a mildly intoxicating preparation wrapped in a leaf, usually containing tobacco, betel nut and flavorings. It is chewed to a mouth-staining red pulp before being spat out.

A few Doctors in Colorado thought the strange, bleeding bumps on Aaron Dallas' head might be from gnat bites or shingles. Then the bumps started moving. A doctor found five active Bot fly larvae living beneath the skin atop Dallas' head. Dallis said "I could hear them. I actually thought I was going crazy." Dallas said he likely received the larval infestation while on a trip to Belize this summer. Bot fly infections are not uncommon in parts of Central and South America. Adult bot flies are hairy and look like bees, without bristles. The larvae, which are about one-third the size of a penny, were living in a pit 2- to 3- millimeters wide. After a specialist told him he might have shingles, Dallas tried different creams and salves. But the pain only got worse. "When I saw him again, it was pretty obvious something else was going on," said Dr. Kimball Spence, who could see the spots moving on Dallas' head. "There's an open pit. You see a little activity, not necessarily the larvae, but a fluctuation of the fluid in the pit." You can throw up now.

A fitness instructor is to launch dancing classes for children as young as 11. Pole dancing classes. Laraine Riddell wants to teach boys and girls to spin up and down on the poles. The 38-year-old, who also teaches adults to pole dance, believes there is nothing sexual about children learning the moves. These involve lifting and resistance work which builds youngsters' muscles, she explained. "It has nothing to do with what you see in strip clubs," said Ms Riddell. "It is a way of getting fit and having fun." But Michele Elliott said: "Pole dancing is an activity where women on stage are given money which is stuck in their underwear. To teach 12-year-old girls pole dancing is out of order."I am sure pole dancing is good exercise - but so is stripping. Strippers have great bodies. By all means give the kids exercise, but just skip the poles."

01.05.07 - World Series of Beer Pong II Recap:
Classic Duel #1 Hamilton vs. Clouser

by Mike Warady

I really wish more people had been there to see it, as it was an unforgettable meeting of two enormously skillful opponents. Classic beer pong champs, stubborn as hell, battling head to head from about 5:30am to 7:00am. These were the early morning hours after this year's World Series of Beer Pong was already over. Team "We Own Your Face" was awarded the $20,000 prize, and most people had long since made their way to the blackjack tables or called it a night. There were probably about 600 people at the event this year and even a full fledged independent film company filming a documentary. Yet, somehow there is not a single picture of the five nearly perfect games played, each going to at least double over time, between Ron Hamilton (of Nutty Irishman notoriety) and Jamie Clouser (The Champ of ChallengeTheChamp.com).

Going into Day 3, the final day of the World Series, Hamilton's team "Smashing Time" was 12-0 and ranked #1 out of 246 teams; Clouser's "Saddam's WMDs" was 11-1 and ranked #3. To be fair, I've got to add that Vassilatos and Guerriero of "We Own Your Face" put on an exhibition the first two days as well, going into the finals ranked #2 with an11-1 record. Like last year, this years' WSOBPII endeping into hisd with a 32 team double elimination tournament. In stunning upsets Smashing Time only made it to the final 8 and Saddam's WMDs just missed the final 8. It is truly a testament to how many teams were playing at the top of their game for the last few bouts. Anyway, I digress, and I don't want to detract from this magnificent early morning mêlée, especially since there were pretty much only 4 people (Me, Tom from Bing Bong, Clouser's teammate Devin Cooch, and the assistant producer from the documentary team) there to witness it.

These two competitors knew of each others' local legend status and approached the first match with the utmost seriousness. Actually, I don't think Hamilton smiled even once the whole time, except maybe a slight grin after some masterful hits. Clouser was charismatic even while drunkenly bum own cups, almost knocking them over, and still sinking key shots. Hamilton is the kind of player who is perpetually unforgiving of himself. To say that he demands perfection is an understatement and he was still very gruff over not winning the entire World Series just hours before. Meanwhile, Clouser's relaxed demeanor barely veiled the meaningfulness of these matches to him. Their minor financial wager they played virtually no part in the game as these local champs sought the opportunity to claim domination on a more national level.

They initially embarked upon a best of three challenge, and things got off to a quick start. The games were one-on-one which really increased the intensity as it was more of a personal battle and test of wills, with no relying on partners to make up for missed cups. Both players hit a bare minimum of one cup each turn, and hit both of their shots on most turns. They were allowed only one ball rolled back if they made both shots, and that may have slowed the games' pace as both players at times seemed to hit any cup on command. Ron Hamilton took the first game, closing in on victory after an intense double over time. Jamie didn't back down though and came back to take the second game in triple OT. However, to Jamie "The Champ" Clouser's surprise and the amazement of the small audience, Ron Hamilton came back with a fury to take the third game.

At this point, a normal beer pong player may have called it quits. After all, it was after 6AM, on the third long night after three nine-hour days of constant beer pong. Not Clouser though, The Champ doesn't take losing lightly.

So, they went double or nothing on a fourth game. It was about this tiool with my back against the bar I couldn't believe the onslaught they wrought on each other, just trading hit after hit, turn after turn. It was a mind numbing event to witness and we few stunned onlookers mumbled things to each other like "I can't fucking believe this" and "holy shit". I think we were stupefied by the earliness of the morning and haze the three long days behind us, but these guys just didn't miss cups. Like, barely ever. Sick. Oh, Jamie won game 4. Yeah, I wish I remembered more details, but it is kind of a blur at this point. I remember who won each game. I remember Jamie trying to pump Ron up, tryme that they stopped drinking the beer too. It didn't even matter by then. It wasn't about who could drink more, it was about what is at the heart of the game - pure competition. As I sat on a bar sting to break some of the tension with lightheartedness, while Ron was mainly focused on pong domination. I remember Ron hitting double last cup shots to end at least one game, and Jamie coming back from down four cups to bring a game to overtime and then win. But, I honestly don't remember which game was which. It was just ridiculous shot after ridiculous shot throughout.

After Jamie won the fourth game we all knew there had to be a game 5. If they could stay standing at 6:30AM after the preceding marathon days of pong, we had to stay awake to witness it. Reflecting on it now, I know it was an important meeting in the history of pro beer pong. Neither player was a rookie just getting lucky on a few games. These guys practice shots in their spare time and play tournament beer pong on a regular basis. They both had reputations to uphold and were putting a lot of their pride on the line doing head to head battle.

Game 5 began. It was good for us that this was the last game. Our flight was scheduled to leave Vegas (90 miles away) at 11:30 that morning. I had my stuff strewn all across my hotel room, and I was hoping to catch a few hours of rest before first flying to Salt Lake City and then the long claustrophobic flight back to Philadelphia. The thing about beer pong though, is that it is addictive. Even to watch, it can be addictive. In fact, this was only game five. Clouser typically plays in series that are best of seven, but this was a bit out of hand already and in this case five seemed appropriate. With the knowledge that this was the last time they would face each other for while, Hamilton and Clouser both came out hitting. Really, a highlight reel of all-time most clutch shots could have been created from this five game series. At the end of the final nail biter, Ron Hamilton emerged victorious once again. The final game tally was 3-2 in favor of Ron. We all stopped for a moment to soak it in. A quick moment though because we all were ready to pass out. So, we said a quick goodbye, parted ways, and that was it. Thus ended one of the most spectacular, and under-witnessed, beer pong competitions ever played.

Neither player regarded this as a stunning victory or overwhelming defeat. There was no trash talking, just mutual respect and appreciation of the others' skill level. We all probably would agree that if they kept playing they would have traded victories one after the other until someone collapsed, if only to pause the game. These players, like a few other top players from the World Series of Beer Pong, take the game to another level. Beer pong is not the most athletic of games, yet it is a favorite of many athletes. Somehow it concentrates the intensity of other more physical sports into the elegant and simple arc of the perfect shot. Each shot must be accurate enough to hit the right target, and the motions must be precise enough to be repeated time and again. They must be ingrained in the muscle memory and still fluid and relaxed under pressure.

I don't doubt that both Ron Hamilton and Jamie Clouser went home with a lot on their minds. They both must be more determined than ever. They will refine their skills; hone their technique. And, as for me, I'm taking odds on Team Hamilton/Clouser to win WSOBPIII.
